Polyhedra and Geodesic Structures, an innovative textbook which applies spherical trigonometry to the study of polyhedra and geodesics, has been used in various forms in the classroom since Spring 1995.
A strong emphasis on hands-on construction appeals to students at all levels. Below are pictures from a few classes showing in-class work (at Quincy High School), end-of-the-semester projects (Quincy University), or a complete semester's work (Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy).
Stay tuned for updates, as Polyhedra and Geodesics has been renamed Polyhedra and Geometric Sculpture, and is being taught at IMSA in Spring 2010!
