Welcome to the website of Dr. Chris Colburn, wearer of many hats at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA). Once upon a time, I put together a VERY rudimentary website at this location and promised that someday it would get cooler. Well, here is my vague attempt at fulfilling that promise.

Those who know me recognize that I pursue three distinct career paths as a technologist, swimming coach, and linguist. IMSA is a cool enough place that I get the opportunity to pursue all three careers at some level here. This site both covers the aspects of what I do at IMSA (complete with assorted resources and interesting tidbits), and provides connections to what I do outside IMSA.

This site is still very new, and will likely have some problems early on... but I'm not one of those folks who sits there thinking "You can't see it until it's finished..." (Talking Heads, 1979). So, enjoy what you can, and this will take shape soon. Don't expect much to be updated here very often unless it's either Girls' Swimming and Diving season (in the Fall) or the semester in which I'm teaching (which would be every other Spring, if all goes according to plan).
