The Russian Department at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy currently offers 3 year-long programs in Russian. For a full course description, please follow the links below. The graduation requirement in World Languages at IMSA is four semesters of a language (French, Geman, Japanese, Russian, or Spanish) taken two out of the student's three years at the academy, including completion of at least one level II or higher course. All language courses are year-long courses. Native and heritage speakers are required to study a language different from their own. World Languages classes meet four times each week, two times for 45 minutes and two times for 70 minutes.
