1. Explain your data in the body of your paper

2. Do % or ratios to better identify patterns over time

3. Annotate your graph to provide a "timeline" explaining why data developed the way it did-

4. Combine it with visuals or text or add "image maps" to provide more in-depth analysis.

and don't just drop in, or scan in,  someone else's work.
