IMSA Math for Illinois Students
Kids Institute (KI)
KI offers a wide variety of programs for Illinois students. The Math Department works with KI to run the summer programs Math@IMSA and Extreme Math & Science @IMSA for middle schoolers.
IMSA Fusion (Fusion)
IMSA Fusion is a program that works with member schools to provide enriching mathematics and science learning opportunities. Member schools can visit IMSA and participate in a specially-designed lesson in math or computer science taught by Math Department faculty.
Junior High Mathematics Contest (JHMC)
JHMC is an annual contest held in the spring for area middle schoolers. It is written, organized, and run by the IMSA Mu Alpha Theta chapter.
Math Kangaroo (Kangaroo)
The Kangaroo contest is an international mathematics competition for grades 1 through 12 with over 5 million student participants in 40 countries. IMSA serves as regional host of the contest.
North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad (NACLO)
NACLO is a contest in which participants solve problems in linguistics. IMSA serves as a test site for the contest.
CyberQuiz (CQ)
CyberQuiz is a monthly brain-teaser puzzle with questions from math and science. Students can read the problems and submit solutions online to win prizes.
